What does the Global Finance Services team do?

The Global Finance Services team is dedicated to managing clients through Collections and Contract-to-Cash processes. We proudly support over 36 countries worldwide, leveraging the power of Oracle to deliver exceptional service.

We actively seek out new business opportunities and work closely with Business Operations Leadership, Central Services Billing, and various cross-functional teams. Our goal is to continuously improve and enhance the overall client experience, ensuring we meet and exceed expectations.

 

The opportunities and support available

Our Intern Programme is designed for penultimate-year and final-year university students. It is currently expected that the duration of the internship will be four to six months.

We operate a hybrid working environment (i.e. a mixture of working in the office and at home). In order to get the most out of the Intern Programme at WTW, you will be expected to come into the office at least one day each week.  In addition to the scheduled in-office training and meetings about projects and client work, this will give you the opportunity to learn from your more experienced colleagues, as well as getting to know your fellow interns. 

An internship at WTW will give you valuable real-world experience. It will enable you to apply your education in an environment that is both intellectually challenging and rewarding. At the end of your time with us, you will have a greater understanding of what we do and how closely our career offerings match your career ambitions. 

Global Project Billings Intern 

As a Global Project Billings Intern, you will support the Billing team and play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our projects and customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for setting up new customer and project codes. Handle the processing of customer and project-related changes and requests. Accommodate inquiries from our NAM, EMEA, and APAC customers and stakeholders. Perform ad hoc tasks and other deliverables on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

Global Cash Application Intern

As a Global Cash Application intern, you will be responsible for overseeing Willis Towers Watson’s accounts receivable processing and cash application serving North America, EMEA, LATAM and APAC regions.

Key Responsibilities:

Downloading of bank statements from bank portals  Cash posting and application to Oracle Research correct invoices to apply payment Commission Application in Oracle Transferring remittance advice from pdf format to Excel.

 

Global Commissions Intern

As a Global Commission intern, you will be responsible for overseeing Willis Towers Watson’s accounts receivable processing and cash application serving North America, EMEA, LATAM and APAC regions, working on commissions-related receipts.

Key Responsibilities:

Downloading of bank statements from bank portals  Cash posting and application to Oracle Research correct invoices to apply payment Commission Application in Oracle Transferring remittance advice from pdf format to Excel.

 

As an intern in the Global Finance Services team, you’ll need strong knowledge of MS Excel, a good understanding of the accounting process, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. 
 
Mentored by experienced leaders in the Global Finance Services team, this role offers an excellent opportunity for learning and potential full-time employment.

Stage 3: Interview – this is an opportunity for you to meet with members of the team and for the team to understand your strengths, preferences and motivations. The interview will take place virtually, and there will be plenty of opportunities for you to ask questions. 

Stage 4: Offer and acceptance.

Stage 5: Keeping in touch including office visit and contact with a member of the team you will be joining.

The ideal candidate is a penultimate-year or final-year university student pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, and is willing to participate in a full-time internship program for 4 to 6 months. Strong knowledge of MS Excel and a good understanding of the accounting process are required, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are advantageous.
