Early Childhood Education Director

We are looking for a proven leader for the Early Childhood Education Director position at our preschool in Pflugerville, TX. As the Early Childhood Education Director, you’ll be responsible for overall education leadership and operations at the school, with support and guidance from onsite owners. Job Responsibilities: * Curriculum implementation and supporting the staff in the classrooms * Coaching and mentoring the staff, assisting them with behaviors management * Sales and marketing, including community outreach * Build and maintain enrollments * Preschool administrative support * Relationship management with enrolled families * Physical requirements: able to lift up to 50 pounds; able to walk, bend, squat or sit on the floor (with children) throughout an 8-hour day; able to physically respond quickly in an emergency Qualifications: * A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development or a related field and at least two years of experience in a management position, preferably in a licensed childcare center or preschool * A currently valid Texas Director credential, or sufficient education/work experience to immediately qualify for one * Expertise with Texas Rising Star (TRS) program, and knowledge of national accreditation programs such as AdvancEd and/or NAEYC -- bonus points if you had prior hands-on experience with either of these accreditations * Proficient in computer programs including Microsoft Office Programs (particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and Instant Messenger) * Excellent telephone manner, public relations skills, and previous experience in providing service to the public in an office setting
