Essential Duties and Job Duties:** **Education** + Provide a nurturing and inclusive environment for all children. + Foster creativity, engagement, excitement, and curiosity. + Plan and provide developmentally appropriate learning experiences. + Plan and implement weekly lesson plans. + Conduct quarterly child development assessments. + Partner with co-teachers to implement best teaching practices. **Relationship Building & Communications** + Build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents. + Work cohesively with classroom co-teachers and colleagues. + Be an excellent and transparent communicator. **Leadership** + Experienced in managing and leading an Early Childhood Education Classroom as a Lead Teacher. + Think proactively and have excellent decision-making and organizational skills. **Impact:** + Work has a moderate impact on a specific area with substantial impact on student or patient well-being, comfort, or convenience. **Requirements:** **For Candidates Without an Associate's Degree:** + Must qualify with a total of 30 general college credit hours AND 6 credit hours in Early Childhood Education/Child Development from birth to age 6 or an equivalent Child Development Associate Certification (CDA). + Must have completed 15 certified hours of Gateways to Opportunity Continuing Education Units. + Must have current Membership to Gateways to Opportunity. + Must have current CPR/First Aid Certification (or complete through Loyola during the first 30 days of employment). + Food Handling certification. **For Candidates with an Associate's Degree:** + Must meet the State of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services Early Childhood Education teacher requirements. + Must have 60 college credit hours (with 6 credit hours in Early Childhood Education/Child Development from birth to age 6). + Must have current Membership to Gateways to Opportunity. + Must have current CPR/First Aid Certification (or complete through Loyola during the first 30 days of employment). + Food Handling certification. **Preferred:** + Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. **Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion** Trinity Health is one of the largest not-for-profit, Catholic healthcare systems in the nation.
