Gottlieb Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Classroom Teacher to join our Early Childhood Education team. Our mission is to nurture and develop young children to reach their full potential, providing all children with opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive.
Position Responsibilities:

Education
Provide a nurturing and inclusive environment for all children.Foster creativity, engagement, excitement, and curiosity.Plan and provide developmentally appropriate learning experiences.Plan and implement weekly lesson plans.Conduct quarterly child development assessments.Partner with co-teachers to implement best teaching practices.Relationship Building & Communications
Build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.Work cohesively with classroom co-teachers and colleagues.Be an excellent and transparent communicator.Leadership
Experienced in managing and leading an Early Childhood Education Classroom as a Lead Teacher.Think proactively and have excellent decision-making and organizational skills.Impact:
Work has a moderate impact on a specific area with substantial impact on student or patient well-being, comfort, or convenience.Requirements:
For Candidates Without an Associate's Degree:
Must qualify with a total of 30 general college credit hours AND 6 credit hours in Early Childhood Education/Child Development from birth to age 6 or an equivalent Child Development Associate Certification (CDA).Must have completed 15 certified hours of Gateways to Opportunity Continuing Education Units.Must have current Membership to Gateways to Opportunity.Must have current CPR/First Aid Certification (or complete through Loyola during the first 30 days of employment).Food Handling certification.For Candidates with an Associate's Degree:
Must meet the State of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services Early Childhood Education teacher requirements.Must have 60 college credit hours (with 6 credit hours in Early Childhood Education/Child Development from birth to age 6).Must have current Membership to Gateways to Opportunity.Must have current CPR/First Aid Certification (or complete through Loyola during the first 30 days of employment).Food Handling certification.Preferred:
