Early Program Core Wiper Engineer

You'll have... 

Minimum

· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree

· 3+ years of experience in design and release of wiper systems.

· Experience with studio interface of Class “A” Parts preferred.

· CAD experience. Parametric modeling experience preferred. CATIA preferred.

· Knowledge of craftsmanship expectations, and benchmarking.

· Knowledge of wiper system design and packaging requirements.

· Demonstrated ability to lead team to resolve complex packaging issues.

What you'll do… 

· Lead the early development and vehicle system feasibility of the wiper system.

· Lead the studio and programs teams to resolve complex wiper packaging issues and effectively communicate the status to management.

· Program responsibility will include remote support for all Ford new program global vehicles.

· Concurrently support multiple programs to package wiper modules within the vehicle to meet all regulatory and design requirements prior.

· Lead design of new concepts to improve system performance & provide leadership & support for timely implementation.

· Analyze designs during the development process & address any potential failures & error states.

· Coordinate and implement all the required actions to improve overall customer satisfaction as it relates to the product while maintaining an affordable business structure.

· Generate cost reductions and revenue opportunities for current and future model programs.

· Lead/Support resolution of current model quality issues in support of achieving V15 quality targets.

· Support Campaign Prevent for exterior wiper and washer systems and related systems.

· Support CCRG for exterior wiper and washer systems activities as needed.

· Support design rule development and SDS update.

· Support identifying cost reduction ideas achievement for wiper/washer TVM targets.

· Identify, develop, and engineer innovative wiper components to increase customer satisfaction and utility.
