**Austin Bridge & Road** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Earthwork Foreman** at our large heavy civil project in **Mesquite, Texas** . The Earthwork Foreman is responsible for providing supervision and coordination of workers on a medium size (8 to 10) dirt work crew. The goals of this position include scheduling work to meet timetables in a safe manner and to meet estimated costs. This person must maintain a good working relationship with inspectors, developers, vendors, and subcontractors.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Manage a small amount of onsite fleet equipment
+ Recruit hourly trade personnel
+ Execute “Look Ahead” schedules
+ Manage craftsmen and laborers, equipment and materials
+ Logistics planning
+ Scheduling construction daily and weekly
+ Execute project work plans
+ Manage crews productively and effectively
+ Training of others on the crew
+ Purchasing of materials, tools, and supplies
+ Maintain a safe working environment
+ Perform quality work to meet requirements
**Qualifications** :
+ 3+ years of experience managing dirt crews on heavy civil construction projects
+ Must have a strong commitment to jobsite safety and be diligent in demonstrating safe work practices
+ Experience in supervising crew
+ Experience using HCSS Heavy Job (tablet based)
+ OSHA 10 hr, First Aid/CPR, rigging, flagging, fall protection, trench excavation, and manlift
+ Must be highly organized with an attention to detail
+ Be an effective communicator
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and meet deadline
**Requirements:**
+ High School Diploma/GED or higher
+ Valid driver’s license
+ Requires working outdoors at times in the rain or snow and during cold, warm, and hot temperatures
+ Must be able to work on call as needed
