Position Summary:

As the Quality Control Technician I, you will inspect finished product, weigh and test french fries and potato by-products for conformance in quality and weight standards.  Records and submits daily, all gathered information using quality control grade sheets and computers. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

1.

Inspects and/or tests at specified stages in production process for variety of quality attributes.

2.

Collect, label, and store quality control samples, retention, and bacteria samples as required.

3.

Communicate with supervision of adverse trends and out of grade situations.

4.

Apply statistical quality control procedures to display and analyze date.  

5.

Prepares graphs or charts of data and enters data into computer for analysis.

6.

Verify calibration of all lab equipment.

7.

Verifies seams, end seals, bag weight, bag condition, and case/poly codes comply with customer specifications.

 

Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) requiredMinimum 3 months related experience and/or trainingHave knowledge of or be capable of learning Infinity Database software and Filenet. Knowledge of or ability to learn lab equipment used in the testing of products; Computrac, Chloried meter, fat analysis, turbo-chef oven etc.Computer, language, and mathematical skillsAbility to work in a fast paced environment; ability to multitask

 

Physical Demand:

Constant: Stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.

 

Frequently: Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.  Regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. 

 

Occasionally: Sit, climb or balance, taste and smell.
