Eaton Internship (4/8/12/16 month) - Ontario, Canada
What you’ll do:

Eaton is seeking to hire interns for 2025 intake for various Eaton offices in Ontario. 

Primary Function:

Through Eaton’s internship program, we hire students to work in a field relevant to their education for periods of 4, 8, 12, or 16 months, in various functions - engineering, manufacturing, operational excellence, marketing, sales, and field services. All interns are assigned to a dedicated manager, receive regular feedback and updates and are considered an important part of Eaton’s future talent pipeline.

Essential Functions:

Interns work on a variety of different projects, collaborating and supporting various teams, below are some examples of responsibilities of interns:

Engineering 
•    Participate in lean activities, support Engineering Department with cost saving and quality initiatives.
•    Engineer new orders, deploy safety related items in production areas, and assist with implementation of continuous improvement/cost savings activities. –
•    Create and update Electrical drawings and support Engineering Department on related activities, assist with improvements to front end processes.

OPEX 
•    Identify and document process flows, and ensure files are updated with corresponding details.

Manufacturing 
•    Learn the standard work associated with day-to-day production operations.
•    Support for Continuous Improvement projects.

Services 
•    Provide onsite engineering and technical assistance in areas of electrical equipment maintenance, new equipment commissioning, custom electrical equipment modification, wiring, controls, drives and breakers.

Supply Chain Management 
•    communicating procurement requirements to vendors, 
•    coordinating operational demands within the operation, and 
•    maintaining an acceptable internal level of inventory to support marketing forecasts and supply chain demands. 

Sales 
•    Support all functions of the sales team: requests for quotation, generating bills of material, order entry, order follow-ups, project-quotation scheduling, and file management, interact with distributors. 
•    Provide technical support for product specific applications utilizing electronic tools for end users and channel partners.


Marketing     
•    Marketing support for digital marketing content (new product launches), System support & maintenance, Creation & launch of commercial.
•    Product support to our customer service team.
 

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

•    Currently enrolled full-time pursuing a college diploma or university degree in related field of study.
•    This position does not offer relocation.
•    Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
•    Strong problem-solving skills and time management capabilities.
•    Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics is an advantage.
•    Passion for innovation & continuous improvement, and willingness to challenge status quo.
•    Strong customer service focus with a commitment to confidentiality, a high level of professionalism and time management skills.
