EB Ancillary Analyst II
General Description: Responsible for analyzing information and creating financial and marketing deliverables for the ancillary coverages of larger clients. Focus is on dental, vision, life AD&D, disability, and worksite. 
- Must be okay coming into our NYC office 3 days per week. 
Responsibilities:• Responsible for ancillary financial analytics for clients primarily over 200 lives.• Prepare analyses with some customization. Analyses may include:        • Market review analysis        • Rate and contribution analysis        • Financial, contractual, and rate comparisons and analysis        • Claims utilization• Manage RFP workload for complex clients. • Serve as primary contact with insurance carriers on new business quotes and renewals. Includes requesting quotes and evaluating proposals.• Provide expert ancillary carrier and product knowledge to internal service team members and producers. • Perform technical analysis of group insurance contracts and financial arrangements.• Develop alternative strategies, plan modeling, and cost reduction opportunities. Develop strategic plans for clients.• Write client-facing Executive Summaries providing observations, conclusions, and recommendations. • Negotiate market results with carriers in collaboration with service team.• Drive USI’s panel carrier strategy. • Attend regional financial and client meetings when needed.• Assist with oversight of incoming Ancillary work requests and assign work to support team.  • Participate in the peer review process, primarily as a reviewer. Mentor analysts via their reviewed work.• Provide guidance and mentorship to less-senior members of the analyst team. Support new hire onboarding and team training. • Assist with development of team standards and process. Provide feedback on team members’ performance. • Develop and maintain excellent carrier relationships.• Keep current on industry information, technology, and trends.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:• 2-3 years + experience in Ancillary Employee Benefits with experience in dental, vision, life, disability, and worksite. • College degree preferred.• Must hold or be willing to obtain a Life & Disability license. If not licensed, must be able to obtain it by 3/1/25• Working knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel. Strong abilities with PivotTables and analysis of larger data sets.  • Ability to manage and negotiate multiple priorities and deadlines.• Comfortable in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction.• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.


Comp: 63-67K plus bonus
