Shift: PRN/Varied

What you will do:

· Performs ECG’s in a variety of locations throughout the hospital.

· Performs Holter Monitor Scanning.

· Performs Cardiac Stress Testing with both pharmacological and exercise stress.

· Edits and types ECG reports and provides copying and filing services for department.

· Ability to perform on call function as needed.

· Transports patients via wheelchair or cart.

· Verify all insurances through appropriate resources as needed (EG: calling, audio, Blue Cross, FSS)

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

· High school diploma or GED required.

· Meets all requirements of the ECG Technician Trainee job.

· Satisfactory Competency in Holter Monitor Scanning or Cardiac Stress Testing including On-Call or Patient Registration and MUSE database management, system setup and trouble shooting.

· Completion of the Mercy ECG Arrhythmia Recognition course or an equivalent course.

· Demonstrates leadership through participation in new ECG Tech orientation and training and performance improvement activities.

· Current BCLS certification. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.

· Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.
