Job Description:

Rotate Weekends, Holiday and Call

Status: Full Time

Hours: 40 weekly

Shift: 8am -4:30 pm

Under the direction of a cardiologist, performs diagnostic sonographic procedures at a technical level, not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment. May be assigned as a preceptor in areas of specific.

Job Duties:

Reviews patient chart and results of previous diagnostic studies and records patient’s personal and medical information.Selects appropriate equipment and proper technical factors on an individual patient basis according to specific orders and part of body examined.Provides technical skills as required for testing (Intravenous access and contrast administration). Assists patient in assuming physical position for required examination. Provides immobilization as required and protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.

Requirements:

High school graduate. At least one year of full time, experience in clinical. Must be able to provide care for all age groups in scope of service

Preferred:

Registered or registry eligible is preferred. If registry eligible, registration must be obtained within one year.
