Responsible for performing echocardiography and ultrasound exams. Performs other diagnostic procedures dependent upon registration/certification. Reports to: Director Diagnostic Services and Imaging Supervisor Reviews patient history and physician orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment & exam to ensure understanding and cooperation. Drag Edit Delete Operates echocardiography equipment to perform clinical diagnostic exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Drag Edit Delete Follows radiation safety procedures *Minimum Education* Graduate from echocardiography program or ultrasound program with echocardiography cross-training - Required Drag Edit Delete *Required Skills* Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Drag Edit Delete *Required Skills* BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required to be obtained within 90 days of employment, if not current upon hire.
