Position Purpose
The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her unit.
What you will do
Performs Diagnostic Cardiac ultrasound procedures on patients in the Department of Cardiology/Echocardiography.The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements.Must have a working knowledge of pertinent equipment, scanning techniques, patient care, and evaluating patient status and emergency situations. Ability to adequately use, or learn to use, the department’s computerized system and its associated devices.Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an approved cardiac Ultrasound technology program, with credentialing from an ICAEL and ASE recognized Program, such as ARDMS or CCI. Registry eligible candidates have 90 days from date of hire to pass the exam. Licensure: Licensed by an organization recognized by ICAEL and ASEPosition Highlights and Benefits
