Job Overview:
Perform adult and pediatric echocardiographic studies including M-mode, 2-D, Doppler, Color Flow Imaging, and Transesophageal Echocardiograms. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.

Required:
Graduate from an accredited school of Cardiovascular TechnologyARDMS or CCI certification must be obtained within 18 months of hireMust be board eligible at time of hireBLS through the American Heart AssociationSuccessful completion of all Orientation ProgramsScheduling Requirements:

Performs echocardiograms with Doppler, color flow analysis, and strain to assist the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of heart diseaseUses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to determine each patient's age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatmentAssists the nurse and physician in the performance of transesophageal echocardiogramsAdministers Definity when necessary to obtain high-quality imagesPerforms echocardiograms on both hospital patients and outpatients, which includes offsite locations in the areaChoosing RWJBarnabas Health!
