Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking an Echocardiographer-Vascular Technologist to join our team!
The Echocardiographer/Peripheral Vascular Technologist provides quality cardiovascular diagnostic services to neonates, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Uses patient information and age of patients to provide care. Whenever applicable, demonstrates understanding of the needs of specific age groups in terms of their physical and motor development, psychosocial development, and intellectual/language development.
HOURS: Full-time or .8 FTE, 64 hours every pay period. Day shift.
Experience/Qualifications
Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of two years of formal education.An associate degree or bachelor’s degree in an allied health field desired.At minimum, this position requires internship training in echocardiography and/or peripheral vascular ultrasound.Knowledge of routine cardiovascular pharmacological agents.ECG interpretive skills (identification and differentiation of arrhythmia).Echocardiographer Tech registry (RDCS or RCS) or Vascular Tech registry (RVT or RVS) or registry eligible within 18 months of hire.Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hirePossesses and maintains a valid driver’s license required.Maintains number of Continuing Education Credits necessary to keep credentials (30 every 3 years). Completion of Basic ECG class and passes with 80% or higher within one year of hire, or tests out of class.Employee Benefits
