Summary
The Echocardiographer performs routine and specialized procedures on patients (from infant to adult) as prescribed by a physician and directed by department protocol. Under the supervision of the Electrocardiology Manager/Director of Cardiopulmonary Services.
Performs all diagnostic modalities as prescribed by a physician and directed by departmental standards. Performs echocardiography functions during procedures. Utilizes and applies knowledge and ability to gather and assess and interpret age specific data. Consults with physicians regarding clinical impression of ECHO report/findings; Fills in Note/Tech comments on study. Effectively communicates with physicians, colleagues, patients, and outside contacts Interacts with the patient and/or significant other according to their appropriate stage of growth and development.
Experience:
Required: * 2-4 years
Education: Required: * Associate's Degree
Licenses And Certification: Required: * Basic Life Support * Registered Cardiac Sonographer
