SWBC is seeking a talented individual to monitor and ensure compliance with the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA) requirements in relation to timely notification of loan status and accurate content of notification and focuses on ECOA and Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) compliance, loan pipeline management, and data integrity.
Essential duties include the following:
Collaborates with branches to ensure loans receive the proper ECOA status in accordance with applicable regulations.Reviews and maintains loan records to ensure ECOA notification issued to consumers contains the correct content. Serves as point of contact and support regarding ECOA and HMDA data collection, notification, and data integrity requirements.Monitors, tests, and reports on the effectiveness of ECOA and HMDA programs.Runs daily reports and provides status updates to Compliance Manager concerning active pipeline and aged loans.Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalency required.Minimum of three (3) years experience in the mortgage industry with a focus on compliance.Working knowledge of compliance regulations, specifically ECOA, HMDA, and other regulatory requirements related to consumer protection laws.Excellent conflict resolution, negotiation, and problem solving skills.Strong analytical and organizational skills to perform multiple work assignments.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Excellent and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.Proficient computer and accurate keyboard skills in utilizing computer applications such as MS Word and Excel.Working knowledge of general office equipment such as phone system, copier, scanner, and the like.Able to work flexible hours which may include early mornings, late evenings, or weekends.Able to adhere to various federal/state and GSE regulations related to the compliance functions of residential lending.Able to sit for long periods of time performing sedentary activities.Able to lift up to 20 lbs. of files, supplies, documents, or other related items.SWBC offers*:
