Economic Development Analyst

**Summary:**
Meta designs, builds, leases and operates the most innovative and efficient data centers in the world. Developing, operating and managing the data center infrastructure and facilities the "right" way is synonymous with ensuring high uptime, capacity availability, flexibility and capital and operational cost efficiency in a safe, healthy working environment. Meta is seeking an experienced and outgoing individual to join our data center economic development team. This role will partner with our data center economic development team to help complete tax and economic incentive diligence and manage compliance efforts for new and expanding regions. Travel domestically and internationally as needed (up to 25%).
**Required Skills:**
Economic Development Analyst Responsibilities:
1. Build and maintain cost models that compare taxes and economic incentives in new and existing data center regions.
2. Maintain and optimize data center incentive compliance program for global portfolio of data center assets.
3. Gather and analyze investment and employment related data to drive decisions for future site selection efforts and complete compliance obligations for existing regions.
4. Complete diligence relating to economic development programs as well as state and local tax laws for new and existing data center regions.
5. Interface with internal organizations including data center design, construction, legal, payroll, finance, accounting and tax.
6. Partner with economic development managers to prepare internal and external summary materials needed for ongoing site selection efforts.
7. Work cross-functionally to understand the project parameters needed to support data center economic development discussions.
8. Lead various projects related to our data centers, as needed.
**Minimum Qualifications:**

9. Experience with coordinating both internal staff and consultants.
10. 3+ years of experience in state and local taxes, economic incentives, finance or other corporate compliance related discipline.
11. Experience in Microsoft Office applications (ex: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Drive applications (ex: Sheets, Docs, Slides)

**Public Compensation:**
$98,000/year to $148,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
