JOB VACANCY Program: Energy Conservation Program Location: 400 West Ave Position: Installer Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 52 wks/yr Salary Range: $33,602 - $42,002 Salary Grade: 11 Summary of Responsibilities: To supervise and participate in the installation of windows, doors, insulation and air sealant in order to ensure D.H.C.R. certification for all assigned homes as well as program contract requirements. Qualifications/Education and Experience: + High school diploma is required and a trade school certification in building construction/repair is desirable. + Three years of building trades experience including the use of hand and power tools. + Requires a substantial working level knowledge in housing construction, especially insulation techniques. + Methods and practices, including the use of applied mathematics and measurement in construction dimensions + Requires analytical, problem solving ability, using math/measuring techniques. + Requires health and physical capabilities to work in homes or outside environment . + Performing a variety of weatherization repairs; crawling, climbing, blowing insulation materials, carrying ladders, doors and other tools and materials for construction. + An aptitude for directing and motivating people. + Good oral and written communications skills. + Must pass NYS Field Inspector test for certification by NYS/DHCR and/or BPI. + Certification for shell measures for EMPOWER. + Requires a valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation.
