**Description**
The Executive Director of Trade Marketing & Strategy will be responsible for developing and executing customer marketing strategies specifically designed to drive sales, market share, and profitability within retail and wholesale channels across in-store and online. The Executive director will set long-term and short-term brand strategic direction by shaping strategies across product, placement, pricing, and promotion to increase revenue while also differentiating channels. They will work closely with the account management team, 360 marketing team, and ecommerce teams to ensure alignment of strategy and plans to brand and customer priorities to in the end deliver total and key customer P&Ls.
Key skillsets and responsibilities
-Trade Fundamentals– Develop and implement integrated trade guidelines across pricing, product, promotion, and placement to profitably grow the brand across all channels.
Strategic Customer Marketing - Develop and implement customer marketing strategies and action plans that support Clinique’s North America visions and brand strategy while leverage unique retailer capabilities to differentiate plans for growth across key channels.
-Retail Activation Management – Oversee the development, execution, and performance of retail marketing such as in-store promotions, point of sale displays, merchandising, and sampling programs to maximize brand consumer engagement.
-New Product Launch Excellence - Coordinate best-in-class execution of new product launches in the retail delivering on both Clinique and retailer goals. Drive internal line of site to customer and competitive volumes and velocities to inform pipeline and financial planning.
-Retail and Category Insights – Analyze the marketplace, competition, available customer 1P and proprietary data as well as brand performance to develop insights and recommendations to influence regional and global marketing.
-Budget Management – Partner with Key Account leads to maximize budgets and drive efficiencies with an enterprise view through scale and long lead planning.
-Collaboration and Partnership – Develop strong relationships with key sales, marketing, and external customer stakeholders and understand their unique goals and opportunities to develop marketing and activations that drive mutual growth.
-Leadership – Establish an organization that is a training ground for future commercial leaders to excel in sales and marketing.
**Qualifications**
Requirements
+ **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. MBA preferred.
+ 10+ years of blended brand and customer account management experience, preferably in beauty
+ Proven track record in building successful brand and customer marketing strategies and campaigns.
+ Strong understanding and developed skillset in channel and customer strategies.
+ Excellence in communication, managing complexity and problem solve communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Specifically, ability to influence multiple levels within the organization to gain support.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment to accomplish multiple projects at one time.
**Pay Range:**
The anticipated base salary range for this position is **$154,000.00** to **$264,750.00** . Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program as well as participation in the share incentive plan. In addition,
