**PRN / Shift Varies** The LPN provides patient care at the direction of the Triage RN or physician based on the patient’s needs in the Emergency Department. The LPN performs technical nursing procedures according to standards, regulation and policies and procedures. The LPN assists with the collection of patient data, assists with the implementation of treatment, education and discharge plans. The LPN communicates and interacts with other team members to facilitate teamwork and multidisciplinary patient care. The LPN delegates to unlicensed providers and supervises assistive personnel. The LPN is responsible for care delegated to him/her that falls within the scope of practice for the LPN in the state of Alabama. **Education REQUIRED:** Graduate of School of Practical Nursing **Experience REQUIRED:** One year or more Emergency Department or equivalent clinical experience preferred **Licenses/Certificates REQUIRED:** Licensed by the State of Alabama Board of Nursing as an LPN. BLS within 60 days of hire. ACLS, PALS within 90 days of hire.
