The ED Patient Care Support Coordinator is responsible for maintaining adequate inventory of supplies and equipment and ensuring a smooth distribution process of supplies and equipment in order to deliver effective patient care. This role also provides basic patient care under the supervision of a Nurse to report observations and maintain an accurate record in the electronic medical records (EMR) system. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm.

 

 

 Supports making sure that all equipment is clean and in good working order in order to meet safety standards.Completes all work orders for maintenance and repair for equipment, ensuring all equipment is clean and in good working order.Ensures that all specialty carts are clean, completely stocked, and in working order on a daily basis to support the staff.Assists with ordering and distributing supplies for the department, monitoring inventory, and rotating stock as needed so dated items do not reach their expiration date.Performs other duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION:Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

 

EXPERIENCE:Required: 2 years of experience working in a healthcare setting.
