Job Title: Edge PS Architecture and Technical Lead
Department: Edge Professional Services
Location: Atlanta, USA (hybrid)
 

You will be leading projects to deploy the NCR Voyix Edge solution into our customers environments. You will become a subject matter expert on Edge – advising our customers and internal teams on the Edge product, and how to implement.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Minimum 5 years experience in being the Technical Lead of complex IT implementation projectsMinimum of 3 years experience deploying containerized workloads and microservice architectures on Docker and/or KubernetesMinimum of 2 years experience of using one or more of major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and best practicesMinimum 2 years of Infrastructure-as-Code experience using tools such as Terraform, Ansible and Helm ChartsMinimum 2 years of scripting/configuration-as-code experience such as Python, Ansible, Groovy, Bash and/or PowershellExperience with the application development lifecycle and best practices involving source code management, application build, test and deploymentExcellent understanding of core internet and networking technologies – routing/switching, DNS, DHCP, firewallsStrong ability to provide thought-through, clearly articulated, pragmatic solutions and recommendations to complex business problemsAbility to collaborate and influence across both technical and non-technical stakeholders, resources, and teamsExcellent technical communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex/technical issues to non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

Becoming a technical expert in the NCR Voyix Edge solutionLeading multiple projects to deploy NCR Voyix Edge at our customersCreating and maintaining project plansCreating and maintaining task lists for the wider teamAssisting our customers with integrating and deploying the NCR Voyix Edge solution in our customers environments, both remotely and on-site.Providing guidance and familiarisation to our customers and internal teams deploying and using our solution.Working with our customers to deploy their applications onto the NCR Voyix Edge solutionTroubleshooting of issues and providing solutions to complex scenariosBuilding and maintaining lab environments.Building and supporting Proof of Concept environments to assist in the sales processWorking closely with the Edge Engineering team in identifying defects and product improvements
 Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of our products, technologies and our competitors.Providing technical support to our Sales engineering team in relation to product architecture and during the implementation of Proof of Concepts for new opportunities.

In fulfilling these responsibilities, you’ll work closely with the existing Professional Services team as you build and then apply your knowledge of our product to our customers.

The right person for this critical role will need to adopt a flexible approach and be extremely well organised in order to be able to prioritise personal workload given the different demands for their time. 

You’ll need strong analytical skills, have excellent problem-solving ability when under pressure and have an attention to detail.

Given the breadth and complexity of our software product, you need to be the kind of person who enjoys learning new technologies and is willing to take on a variety of technical challenges.

You’ll also need to be willing to provide occasional out-of-hours support when needed for the projects you are working on.
