The main responsibility of this position is to support, implement, enhance, and improve our EDI processes inside the Enterprise IT Platform organization. We are looking for an individual with deep technical knowledge in the EDI field and the ability to translate that to operational improvements in a vendor handled environment, ideally with ITIL knowledge and business knowledge within logistics operations.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: You will be responsible to handle & support our Babelway EDI platform as well as other integration platforms. Your natural overview allows you to handle the many processes in this challenging global and sophisticated environment. Your communication and people skills as well as your “Can Do” attitude will give to the positive atmosphere in the team. Development and Maintenance of operational EDI interfaces Provide consultancy as a domain guide to internal customers and other application management teams. Work closely with our Business & Internal/External customer/partner teams to ensure proper identification of requirements, implementation and rollout of the interfaces. Support global EDI trading partners connecting them to our handled service platform, through X.400, AS2, VAN, FTP, SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, SOAP, EDIFACT etc. Work closely with the vendors to ensure timely delivery of planned improvements within delivery dates and with the agreed levels of quality. Establish and follow an appropriate stage-gate style process for new projects. Track and maintain appropriate project and routine activity metrics. Establish and maintain a high level of accuracy during routine and project activities. Other activities as required to achieve defined job objectives. For This Role, You Will Need: Hands on experience with JSON/XML formats is a must. A willingness to learn is needed. Practical experience with BabelWay platform is an advantage. Experience within the EDI area and trading hubs is an advantages as well Ability to define customer requirements and translate them into working EDI interfaces. Ability to analyze, critical reasoning, problems solving skills and a focus on details of the operation. Good understanding of IT operational processes and structured in ways of working. Understanding business processes in a manufacturing organization using global multi-functional resources is a benefit, as this is how we operate. Understanding and knowledge of computer systems and programming methods is a benefit, especially on the following languages/applications : Having knowledge of Oracle & Microsoft SQL is a strong benefit. Good interpersonal and project management skills, ability to work with and direct others in a team environment. English proficiency in both verbal and writing is a requirement. Good interpersonal and problem solving skills. Good time-management and self starter skills are also desirable. Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience 3+ years in IT Hands on experience with EDI mapping toolset is a must.
