Compensation

Hourly base pay rate is $21.06 - $31.63/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Are you a motivated self-starter interested in honing the skills needed to create content that attracts valuable audiences? Do you want to learn from some of the top editors in the industry, work hands-on with them, and see the results of your work? Look no further. 

The Cox Automotive Editorial Team is seeking a summer intern to focus on creating multimedia content for Kelley Blue Book and Autotrader. You’ll work alongside industry veterans to cover the automotive industry in ways that help people. Working closely with your mentors, you’ll end the summer with valuable, transferable skills and experience.

What You’ll Do:

Learn how our editorial planning, development, and publication process works.Work side-by-side with mentors who will teach you about the automotive industry and why what we do matters to so many everyday consumers.Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities for improving our content.Use digital research tools to identify search trends and then create content that helps those consumers.Publish original high-quality content onsite and in social media channels.

Who You Are:

Current college student pursing a BA/BS majoring in journalism or communications and relate fields.Need to have a valid drivers licenseInterested in the automotive industry, focusing on how vehicles and transportation issues affect everyday life.Computer skills, which include Microsoft Office suite and online research ability.

Intern/Co-Op sessions are considered temporary employment. No full-time employment commitments are made. However, depending on our business needs, some interns may be considered for a full-time position following the conclusion of the session conditioned upon the intern graduating from their academic program and being available to commence full-time employment at a specified time.
