Marley Engineered Products is a marketplace leader in innovative comfort heating and ventilation solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial markets. With a portfolio that includes baseboard, wall, unit and infrared heaters as well as ceiling fans and air circulators, we create simplified heating solutions for our complex world.
How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)
SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As the EDP Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the continued performance, reliability, and safety of our products throughout their lifecycle. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, manufacturing, quality assurance, and customer support, to identify and resolve technical issues, implement design improvements, and support product enhancements. Your role will be critical in maintaining and improving the quality and performance of our products in the market, as well as providing technical support to internal and external stakeholders.
What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

Operations Complete workplace improvements, methods, and layouts Work closely with leadership and associates to determine feasibility of improvements/projects and provide data or information for accurate decisions. Support leadership, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and machine and workforce requirements to facilitate production processes.Technical Support Complete time studies and data development for rates, line balancing and cost estimates Develop and implement standard work instructions. Analyze reports and data collected to determine and recommend changes in methods, tooling, and/or equipment to more fully utilize workforce and time to increase productivity, quality, or product value. Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, designs layout of equipment, workspace for efficiency, safety and ergonomic improvements.
3. Projects & Continuous Improvement
Coordinate a variety of projects from inception through completion and follow-up. Develop capital appropriation requests (E201) with supporting EVA calculations as well as project management leadership. Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arranges for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards. Support and expand Lean culture and implementation throughout the plant. Participate in other projects as assigned that relate to the overall goals of the plant.

Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide solutions. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences. Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Proficiency in CAD and/or Solidworks. Proficiency in engineering tools and software, such as CAD, FEA, Windchill and simulation tools. Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles. Knowledge and experience in One-piece flow: balancing, pacing and improved through-put, Visual factory; KPIs, and pacing boards. Experience with design-for-manufacturing methods. Basic understanding of drawings /blueprints is a plus. Working knowledge of material grades, types and specifications Mathematical skills Experience with product testing, validation, and compliance with regulatory standards.Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study (Engineering, Business) is strongly preferred.
Travel & Working Environment
Minimal travel (<10%) that includes visits to other facilities, vendors and training. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Manufacturing Environment frequently require use of foot, eye and ear protection when in production areas.
