Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your comprehensive mechanical engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, committed, and solution-driven teammates.

You'll contribute to the delivery of Carbody Shell Engineering outputs, adhering to our Engineering QCD commitments. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Design, Validation, Costing, and more), manage risk assessments, and lead work package reviews, among other responsibilities.

You’ll specifically take care of deploying processes and standards, managing project planning, and ensuring alignment with stakeholders. You will also provide support to industrialization and production teams during manufacturing ramp-up.

We’ll look to you for:

Ensuring the quality and timely delivery of engineering outputs

Managing the complete DFQ & QCD of a project from inception to closure

Deploying Alstom and customer-specific processes and standards

Organizing and leading work package reviews

Assessing risks and managing mitigation plans

Coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders

Supporting design and production teams to meet project deadlines


All about you

Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or Master’s degree from a premier engineering college

Minimum 14+ years of exp

Experience or understanding of core structural design in rolling stock, automotive BIW, or aircraft structures

Knowledge of sheet metal, extrusion manufacturing processes, and welding standards

Familiarity with DFEMA and functional tolerancing & dimensioning

Proficiency in CATIA, PLM/DMA/ENOVIA, and functional dimensioning & tolerancing

Capability to perform design activities and basic hand calculations

Willingness to travel to other Alstom sites and industrial locations as needed
