Education, Recreation, and Welfare Specialist
Overview SOSi is currently seeking an Education, Recreation, and Welfare Specialist to join our team in Cambridge, Massachusetts supporting a humanitarian assistance project for our Commonwealth customer. Essential Job Duties Assists the Education, Welfare, and Recreation Manager in the management of adult and child education and teaching programs. Coordinates school activities and liaises with the school district designated POC. May help in developing the curriculum and staffing, and reviewing staff performance. Conducts outreach to local organizations and companies providing services within education, welfare, and recreation and assists with strengthening community relations. Ensures that project goals are met and adhering to deadlines. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in education or related field, or four (4) years of work experience in a related field. Must be able to work independently or within a team. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual Spanish and English language proficiency preferred. Bilingual Haitian Creole and English language proficiency preferred. Work Environment Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and pressure. Ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment.
