Desirable Skills, Experience & Knowledge

Strong understanding of the EYLF and NQS to ensure quality practices and outcomes.Proven experience in leadership roles in an Early Childhood setting with leadership skills to guide, mentor, and support educators, fostering continuous improvement (min. 1+ year in similar role desirable).Excellent communication skills for working with families, educators, and external agencies.Experience planning, implementing, and assessing high-quality educational programs.Commitment to reflective practices, feedback, and ongoing professional learning.Familiarity with National Regulations and effective use of technology for documentation and planning.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Lead reflective discussions to enhance practice and implementation of learning frameworks, fostering a culture of growth, teamwork, and positivity.Support and mentor staff by modelling high-quality interactions and program practices, stepping in as needed to demonstrate best practices.Collaborate with families and early childhood professionals, forming partnerships with local services to strengthen community ties.Regularly assess routines, learning experiences, and child interactions, providing feedback to improve effectiveness.Ensure compliance with policies, assess risks, and uphold service standards in alignment with governing bodies.Document and reflect on children’s learning to inform curriculum decisions, supporting educators in developing their documentation style.
