Education Resource Specialist - Health Education Center (19.99hr/wk)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for the evaluation, development and coordination of educational activities for the assigned clinical area. Develop, monitor staff and evaluate the effectiveness of educational activities to ensure quality care for patients.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

RN with Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. 4 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse and at least 1 year experience in education/staff development.

SPECIFIC JOB RELATED DUTIES:

Serves as an educational resource for the assigned clinical area by assessing, planning, developing and implementing educational activities appropriate for the assigned clinical area. Responsible for administrative tasks such as developing, monitoring and training staff. Develops curriculum for training programs, identified learning needs, facilitates and coordinates individual learning plans. Promotes a team approach to healthcare delivery by facilitating effective patient care education at the service level. Develops and maintains new employee orientation programs and acts as a clinical resource for staff. Ensures safe care of patients by adhering to policies, procedures, and standards of care. Promotes staff professional growth and development by ensuring they meet the requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills, and competencies. Serves as a preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff. Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.

SALARY RANGE:

$38.80 hourly rate; PBL w/ no Benefits
