Classification: Full-Time, Exempt, 40 hours/week, Typically-Monday-Friday, 10:00am-6:30 pm.  (8:30-4:30-Summer Day Camp, 8:30 am-5:00 pm when learning center is not in session)

Job Focus:  The position provides leadership to the Learning Center academic enrichment program, including direct supervision of program assistants and volunteers at the after-school center sites and assist with student recruitment.  Responsible to develop curriculum and distribute lesson plans to the Lead Program Assistant to conduct and monitor Curriculum Based Measurement Assessments on student participants, to maintain a database to monitor the results of the assessments to develop and implement appropriate academic intervention strategies for those students determined to be “at risk” academically for their grade level.

Requirements/Qualifications:

An understanding of and passion for The Salvation Army’s MissionBachelor’s degree in education required.Lesson planning experience requiredStrong experience using Microsoft Excel, creating spreadsheets, formulas, charts, and tables, etc.Strong experience using current Microsoft Office software such as Word and PowerProficient writing, time management, speaking and organizational skillsTwo-plus years of working with elementary/middle school aged childrenOne or more years of working in an after-school program setting, preferredPatient and energeticCurrent first aid, CPR, communicable disease, and child abuse training, preferredAbility to maintain ODKFS standards for employees and program operation if applicable.The ability to obtain and maintain driving privileges per Salvation Army insurance standards.
