We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven ELL Educational Consultant to represent Pearson’s English Language Learning (ELL) products and services in Italy. Reporting to the ELL Sales Director, you will be responsible for driving sales and achieving annual targets by effectively promoting and positioning Pearson’s innovative ELL solutions across your designated region.

We are looking for a Consultant to cover the Northwest regions of Italy. The post will be based in Turin
Candidate profile:
Qualification in teaching English as a second/foreign language
Sales and/or marketing experience
Knowledge of the Italian schools’ market, assessment and online teaching
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated and well-organised, able to work in a team and independently
Fluent spoken and written Italian and English
Clean driving license
Key Responsibilities and Competences:
Develop sales : to increase sales of the ELL products and market shares within a specified geographical area through promotional visits, teacher training workshops/webinars and sales calls to state Primary and Secondary schools with our distributor’s agents, to Private Language Schools and Universities. This remit involves the ELL Pearson Italy catalogue and Pearson’s Assessment Portfolio;
Develop market awareness : to record and monitor market share, and report any relevant data or feedback that might support our sales, marketing and product development;
Develop product knowledge : to demonstrate detailed knowledge of front list titles in such a way as to be able to match product features and benefits to needs expressed by customers, and to be sufficiently aware of the Pearson catalogue as to be able to offer appropriate solutions and services to customers. Knowledge of competitors’ offers and activities is also required.
Provide product training : to provide product training to sales agents on new and backlist titles to enable them to successfully win adoptions;
Organisational competences : to devise, plan and execute a promotional plan for the territory in line with national objectives. Key activities will include school visits, product presentations, teacher and product training, and teacher events, as well as providing customer support.
Administrative competences : to produce monthly reports in a timely manner and manage a cost budget effectively.
Liaison with other departments : to participate in and contribute to meetings or liaison with sales, marketing and editorial departments in order to ensure development of appropriate publishing, marketing and communication for customers and the sales force.
