While this is a remote position, the successful candidate must reside in Michigan and hold Michigan Administrator Certification. The initial appointment is for two years, with the potential for renewal based upon demonstrated abilities and department needs.
We seek a fixed-term faculty member who will teach synchronous and asynchronous courses in our CAEP accredited online programs. The successful candidate will have a strong PK12 professional identity, graduate teaching experience or demonstrated ability to do so, and school administrator experience. Supplemental summer teaching opportunities may be available.
The successful candidate will be committed to the academic success of all our students and to an environment that acknowledges, encourages, respects, and celebrates diversity and differences. Required Qualifications Doctorate in educational leadership or administration, or related field; ABD will be considered, if the degree will be conferred by time of appointment. Current Michigan administrator or central office certification. Experience as a school or district administrator in a K-12 setting. Experience teaching graduate courses, or demonstrated ability to do so. Ability to teach a variety of courses in educational leadership which may include curriculum, supervision, administrative theory, policy, PK-12 finance, school business administration, district leadership or supervise an internship. Demonstrate application and implementation of multicultural and social justice competencies. Ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated ability to teach in an online environment. Experience designing, implementing, and overseeing educational programs. Familiarity with CAEP Accreditation or other regional educational accreditation.
