Your Role At a Glance
The Educational Programs Specialist position is a dedicated resource within the Education team tasked with supporting the Education Manager in the execution of Mastercam’s worldwide Education strategy. Specifically, this role serves as a project manager and point person for our partnerships with such programs as WorldSkills, EuroSkills, SkillsUSA, Project MFG, and HTEC. Additionally, this position supports our efforts with other Programs such as WorldSkills, EuroSkills, SkillsUSA, Project MFG, and HTEC.. This role requires being a facilitator within the Education team, acting as a liaison between internal Mastercam departments, external stakeholders, and additional 3rd party information sources to streamline Education programs, policies, and initiatives. The Education Department shares a unifying vision to increase its visibility internally, increase Mastercam awareness and presence worldwide, and to maintain our leadership position worldwide in Education CAM seats.
How You’ll Drive Success
Cross Department Collaboration
+ Work closely with Business Systems, Customer Service, and other departments to streamline the Education grant process for organizations like FIRST Robotics, HUNCH, SAE, SkillsUSA, Project MFG, and WorldSkills.
+ Collaborate with Marketing and Education Manager on Education priorities for the company website, including content creation and placement.
+ Work closely with Marketing to promote and highlight competitions and team successes with Mastercam.
Content Management
+ Assist in providing Education content for the company website (Mastercam.com) and SharePoint.
+ Assist in monitoring and coordinating responses to the Education area of the website.
Event Support & Participation
+ Support, promote, and attend key events such as FIRST Robotics, NASA HUNCH, SAE, SkillsUSA, EuroSkills , Project MFG, WorldSkills, Mastercam Education conferences, teacher training events, and Reseller meetings/conferences.
+ Participate in these events, including delivering presentations as needed.
Communication & Customer support
+ Provide phone call and email support, disseminating follow-up information and correspondence to the appropriate departments/individuals.
+ Act as the point person for all education email aliases.
Strategic planning & Initiatives
+ Ensure that strategies, programs, policies, and initiatives align with overall business goals and values.
+ Plan and prioritize strategic initiatives with the Education Manager.
+ Assist in tracking progress on team goals.
+ Proactively propose new ideas and strategies to the Education Manager.
Sales & Customer interaction
+ Assist with education sales efforts, including interactions with education customers and channel partners.
Other Responsibilities
+ National and international travel may be required, up to 25% of the time.
+ May perform other duties as directed.
The Talents We’re Seeking
Education
+ Bachelor’s degree, with a focus on Marketing or Business, or equivalent work experience required.
Required skills
+ 3-5 years’ experience working in or with marketing, sales or education areas directly in support of company sales and marketing initiatives.
Preferred skills
+ Prior experience working with Channel Partners and/or Education Programs, preferably within a CAD/CAM environment a plus.
+ CRM knowledge, with experience utilizing and cultivating customer data; Salesforce experience a plus.
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
+ Creative and effective problem-solver, with a pro-active approach to issue resolution.
+ Highly motivated with the ability to work both independently and as a team member.
+ Windows OS Computer Skills required; with proven knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
+ Team player with the ability to work with cross-functional and virtual teams to solve problems and drive results.
+ Basic Mastercam software knowledge a plus.
