JOB SUMMARY:
The role of the clinical educator encompasses assessing clinical performance at the bedside in relation to established performance standards and competencies. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to identify and address learning needs at the unit level, and participates in the provision of organizational wide education. Serves as mentor to cardiopulmonary staff and facilitates the development of new programs and clinical skills.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Associates degree in respiratory therapy. Bachelor’s preferred.
Experience: Minimum three years of bedside patient care experience in an acute-care hospital. Pediatrics and neonatal bedside experience desired.
Knowledge and Skills: The successful employee will have excellent interactive skills and will be comfortable speaking in front of a group. In addition they should have the ability to apply the principles of adult learning to the education process. Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. Diligent record keeping is an essential element of education and requirements of regulatory agencies.
License and Certifications: Current RCP license, BLS, NRP preferred
Equipment: Expert user Servo I, Servo U, PB840, Airvo 2, Vapotherm, Bipap V-60, Dreamstation, CPAP and other repiratory therapy equipment
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.
PAY RANGE
$36.50 - $54.76
The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change. Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
