Department OverviewThe (Elgin Experience Center for Solutions Integration ) is host to hundreds of Customer each year. The EEC SI is where customer needs and technological solutions come together thru the System Staging Process. The EEC Si Engineering Team works with Field Team to develop the final design details of a Emergency Call Handling Solution to support the fundamental objective of Total Customer Satisfaction
Job Description
In this role you will:
Be an active member of a team of engineers, system technicians and field personal to understand, design and test complex communication and information systems to meet customer requirements and schedule deadlinesBecome familiar with the CCSi workflow process and procedures to program and integrate equipment for a fully functional systemAs a system staging engineer be an active participant.Driving force behind the implementation, optimization, troubleshooting, testing and auditing of systems throughout the staging processServe as a focal point and catalyst for the resolution of product and system problems in complex communications and information systemsDevelop new methods to improve performance, ease of installation, diagnostics, quality and cycle time of complex systemsPreferred Qualifications
IT Systems Engineer ExperienceAggressive Problem-Solving skills and the ability to get things done in a multi organization environmentEffective communication, public speaking and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of communication systems, wireless data systemsLAN/WAN, Windows and TCP/IP networking skills are requiredVM and OVF high-level working and design knowledge.Motorola Communication Knowledge preferredLTE/P25, Tetra knowledge is helpfulAbility to work independently and as a part of a team.Provide Hands on Support for System Testing and TroubleshootingServe as a catalyst for resolution of product and system problems and communicate issuesBasic Unix/Shell Scripting skills is a plusBasic RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/ Engineering or Technology3 years of Work Experience as an Engineer or System Engineer is required
