EEG Tech Lvl IV-FT-1st shift

Job Summary: Performs EEG, LTME, EP and NCV without supervision.  Provides assistance to the neurologist for EMG testing.  Performs Intraoperative EEG, EP and MEP monitoring without supervision.  Is registered by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologist, Inc. (ABRET) as a registered EEG technologist (REEGT).


Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

 

Education:  Required:  1) High School diploma or GED.  2) Registered by ABRET as REEGT.  Preferred:  Certification from a qualified EEG program of at least one year duration and/or some college education from an accredited college or university.

 

Experience:  1) One year performing EEGs and six months performing EP/NCV testing without supervision 2) Minimum of three months experience in EP/EEG/MEP Intraoperative monitoring under direct supervision of a senior tech 3) Score of 80% or higher on assessment test.

Additional Skills/Abilities: BLS certification required within the orientation period.
