EGA Research Intern - Edelman Global Advisory

Edelman Global Advisory (EGA) is a boutique international advisory firm within the Edelman network that owns the firm’s government affairs and business advisory services. We have rebranded public affairs to advisory to better capture the evolution and future of this sector. Advisory services combine business strategy, government affairs, corporate social responsibility and sustainability, and political risk analysis to help clients navigate changing political and economic dynamics. Our mission is to build trust in today’s evolving geopolitical environment.
Joining the EGA team will provide team members with the opportunity to be involved in the building of this growing firm—from creating a new culture, to redefining public affairs services, to exploring new services, such as data analytics and political risk analysis—across the regions where we operate: APAC, MENA, Europe, North America, Latin America, and India. We view ourselves as a start-up built on top of one of the world’s most recognizable brands.
Interns will be responsible for supporting the EGA workstream as well as client deliverables as needed. This can include research on specific issue areas or business sectors, monitoring policy and regulatory developments for EGA clients and priority regions, research and preparation of briefing documents, as well as the development of stakeholder pitches and outreach strategies.ResponsibilitiesDrafting briefing material for clients.Monitor political announcements and parliamentary activity.Support political engagement programmes, including creating stakeholder maps, outreach to relevant offices and handling logistical arrangements.Develop biographical and policy briefings including conducting research to inform these documents.Support with event management, including liaising and coordinating with stakeholders, and third-party suppliers as well as handling the logistics.Build relationship with clients and colleagues at all levels.Supporting with ad-hoc research tasks including but not limited to new business opportunities, policy briefings, events and speaking slots.Assist in event planning.Working with team members to ensure accurate account administration.RequirementsCurrently enrolled undergraduate student, recent graduate, or graduate school student with a focus in International Relations, Political Science, Communications, or a related program.Demonstrated interest in global affairs or in one of our priority sectors: tech, food and agriculture, sustainability, healthcare, and travel and tourism.Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.Able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accuracy and reliability.Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to work within a team.Experience in policy and regulatory research and stakeholder engagement is preferred but not required.We are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t perfectly align with every qualification, we encourage you to apply anyway.
