SummaryThe overall purpose of the position is to pick up Racks and Boxes of Eggs from designated Breeder farms, on a routine schedule, while replacing supplies on the farms. Then deliver the eggs to the warehouse or hatchery as directed.
Principal and Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesEnsures timely and accurate delivery of eggs according to dispatcher scheduling.
Performs a pre-trip truck inspection according to a DOT sheet, reporting any deficiencies to proper fleet mechanics.
Ensures accurate recordkeeping of fuel purchases, trip tickets, daily logs and time sheets.
High School or equivalent
Experience Requirements2 years experience. Reading, writing and math skills. Class B Commercial driver's license required, Class A perferred.
Experience Preferred Environmental Factors and Physical RequirementsThe environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following:
Exposed to both seasonal weather and climate controlled conditions and various chemicals and disinfectants to be covered in MSDS Training. Must be able to push and pull up to 1200 lbs a distance of 90 feet. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs with a significant amount of bending, twisting and stepping. Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the company.
