To thrive as a EHS Foreperson, you will be responsible for overseeing the environmental, health and safety initiatives at one of our Distribution Centers at the Behr Paint Company. This role assists Behr with implementing site specific policies and standards to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local health, safety, and environmental laws, and regulations. The EHS Foreperson will serve as a role model in establishing safe working practices for injury & illness prevention, implementing site specific policies and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory, and Behr EHS requirements. Assist with safety training, hazard assessments, and safety audits to help create a strong EHS culture.
You will manage LOTO, PIV, and all safety programs, and coordinate training for onboarding new employees as well as all emergency response protocols. Will work closely with the Supervisor and be responsible for maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies. Assist in incident reports, investigation of all work-related accidents, injuries, near-miss, and maintain OSHA logs. Report deficiencies and oversee corrective actions. You’ll also be maintaining EHS records and documentation, including EHS matrixes, records, and external agency audits. You will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment and PIVs are available, properly maintained, and used correctly by all team members. This also includes making sure that all team members are properly certified through Behr’s certification program for PIVs and continue to remain in compliance.
Here's what we’re looking from you:
Priority behind safety. We don’t expect you to be a master of all things’ safety, but the right candidate will have an interest or passion behind the importance of safety.
A completed high school education is required. Whether it be a diploma or GED. Additional education or certifications (ISO) in safety is a plus but not required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will be working with team members on site along with external vendors and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software. You will be using computer equipment to carry out training which includes creating presentations in PowerPoint, emailing various team members, accessing, and using digital platforms, and using scan guns. Although we don’t expect you to be an Excel Master, we do require basic knowledge and we will continue your development.
3 or more years of warehouse experience.
1 or 2 years of lead-related experience. we do not require you to have prior direct experience as a EHS Foreperson

This position starts at (SIP 1)/hr. Team members will receive a $1/hr increase at 6 months of employment and another $1/hr increase at one year of employment.
