**Job Title: EH&S Manager**
**Job Description**
This position leads the integration of solutions that work to address multiple regulatory requirements and certifying agencies, ensuring compliance with rules affecting safety, security, hazardous waste, medical equipment, fire/life safety, and utilities. Major functions include managing the team responsible for daily compliance with regulations, performing regular performance assessments, managing regulatory compliance audits, ensuring effective recordkeeping, coordinating leadership reporting, and acting as the Laser Safety Officer and SHC Hospital Safety Officer.
You will conduct TJC EOC/Life Safety regulatory compliance programs for the hospital, and Clinics as required. Lead roles include survey activity audits, hospital interface for The Joint Commission (TJC) Environment of Care (EOC) for interviews, review of records, corrective actions, and Performance Improvement Opportunities. You will coordinate continual preparation for all TJC EOC regulatory compliance activities for all sites.
As the EOC Safety Committee Chair, you will generate EOC quarterly reports, annual evaluations, and management plans. You will conduct TJC EOC Periodic Performance Reviews, coordinate EOC meeting agendas, minutes, and logistics monthly, maintain EOC documentation and records, and coordinate EOC Safety Manual Policies and Procedures.
As the hospital Safety Officer, you will develop hospital-wide Safety Plans, analyze risks, address incidents, and develop mitigation strategies, including those for Life Safety. You will manage the Hazardous & Medical Waste and Waste Water & Storm Drain programs, including applicable policy, program, and regulatory/compliance audits. Additionally, you will manage the Life/Fire Safety Program, including emergency evacuation programs, equipment, regulatory/compliance audits, and training.
This position may require on-call availability during non-standard hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet business needs and respond to emergencies. Additional compensation may be provided if assigned as part of the Facilities Services & Planning (FS&P) Leader on Call Program.
