As the EH&S Manager, you will lead and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs and systems that ensure regulatory compliance and promote a safe, productive work environment. Reporting to the Plant Manager in Nogales, you will safeguard the well-being of team members, property, and equipment by integrating proper safety procedures, conducting audits, providing training, and continuously improving EHS performance.

You Will:

Ensure all environmental, health, and safety activities comply with Mexican regulations and company policies.

Develop and implement safe work procedures, fostering a safety-first culture without compromising production efficiency.

Review, evaluate, and audit EHS programs, providing required training, safety talks, and briefings to Supervisors and team members.

Conduct daily inspections, audits, and task evaluations; perform testing and reporting on EHS performance measures.

Perform environmental audits, identify poor work procedures or behaviors, and coordinate remedial actions.

Verify adherence to EHS policies, rules, and standards for all employees, visitors, customers, and contractors.

Perform security assessments to prevent asset loss or property damage, implementing appropriate controls and procedures.

Investigate incidents and injuries thoroughly, determine root causes, and recommend corrective measures.

Identify EHS hazards, apply risk control and engineering techniques, and use root cause analysis to prevent incidents.

Develop trend analysis processes to guide accident and injury elimination goals.

You Have:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

7+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.

5+ years in an EHS leadership role.

Certified Safety Professional designation is preferred.

Bilingual Spanish/English; TOEIC score over 700.

Proficiency with MS Office tools and COA Government Reporting.

Knowledge of legal EHS matters and resource management to meet governmental agency requirements.

Experience with Mexican regulations (STPS, SEMARNAT, PROFEPA, NOMs), JHA, R3 methodology, BBS, STOP, and EHS KPIs.

Ability to identify security deviations and address issues to prevent asset loss or property damage.

Familiarity with standards in first aid/CPR, confined space rescue, hazardous material handling, hazard communications, PPE, fire safety, fall protection, lockout/tagout, machine guarding, environmental permitting, electrical safety, and emergency response.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
