Position Summary:
Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) Manager: Based in the United States and reports to the Marine Health & Safety Director. A Facility (EH&S) Manager Provides EHS Leadership and support to their assigned ADM facilities and vessels. This position will be based in St Louis, MO.
Position Responsibility:Provide constant and consistent Leadership, Guidance and Mentoring along with training and public presentation as necessary. Work closely with Management to achieve safety goals and objectives. Build management and employee dedication and enthusiasm for safety through effective Leadership and Influence.Evaluate the effectiveness of health and safety programs and policies through consistent monitoring and auditing.Knowledge and Understanding of a multitude of environmental, health and safety regulations and policies with the ability to communicate the requirements effectively and assist the facility and vessels with implementation and management.Lead, support and encourage the actions that are leading indicators, tracked by KPIs.Act as a Champion and Mentor for colleague safety engagement that comes in many forms.Perform training as required and maintain training and safety records.Lead or have integral involvement in incident investigations.Lead and provide oversight of injured colleague cases.Act as liaison between company and governmental entities such as USCG, OSHA and familiarity with regulations (Sub M and TSMS) that apply to inland navigation and state regulatory agencies. Environmental Responsibilities:Maintain compliance with site stormwater, hazardous/universal waste, asbestos and oil pollution prevention plans including inspections, training and reporting.Manage site waste disposal operations and coordinate waste program with waste partner.Maintain facility EMS and all required environmental recordkeeping.Use and maintain ADM systems for environmental data and document and event management.Serve as the lead of Environmental Management System and drive continuous environmental improvement.Ideal candidate would have some knowledge of environmental regulations and programs.Position Requirements:Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, waivable with extraordinary experience.Minimum of five-year’s work experience in a dedicated environmental health and safety position and/or marine environment or a degree in Safety.Shown leadership skills demonstrated by resume.Effective oral and written communication skills, including public presentation ability.Strong computer skills including Microsoft office and the ability to quickly learn and utilize other standardized systems.Proven ability to work effectively and enthusiastically on a team.Proven ability to recognize hazards, assess risk and recommend controls.Travel will be required, sometimes on short notice to ARTCO vessels or other locations as needed.Have valid TWIC card or ability to obtain this document.The position requires the ability to work in a variety of environments: office environment and varying indoor and outdoor environments to include extreme heat and coldExcited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
