Role Purpose

The EHS Manager will help drive continuous improvement in overall environmental, health and safety performance while promoting an interdependent organizational culture. The intent of this role is to lead and effectively integrate environmental, health and safety processes/programs into the overall plant strategy while maintaining compliance with all applicable federal, state local, and corporate safety laws and standards.

Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all plant, corporate and OSHA/EPA policies and regulations.  Lead the plant processes to set annual targets and drive necessary actions to meet and exceed targets.                         Be a change agent to drive continuous improvement in overall EH&S performance. Maintain metrics of plant EH&S performance and provide monthly reporting. Develop, implement, and track annual site EH&S plan actions. Utilize data collected to develop specific programs and initiatives to improve performance. Develop and maintain plant emergency response plans and ensure appropriate training. Work with internal and external groups to coordinate plant EH&S audits and evaluations / inspections and ensure timely corrective action for discrepancies. Ensure effective delivery of all EH&S related training with compliance to all applicable plant, corporate and OSHA standards, and maintain all OSHA logs and required recordkeeping required by regulation. Ensure / lead investigation of work-related injuries in conjunction with supervisors / managers, along with action planning to prevent recurrence. Maintain existing SDS system and ensure new materials and products have appropriate SDS sheets and training. Support ISO 45001/14001:2015 Environmental and Safety Management System Requirements. Required Experiences/Education Bachelor's degree in occupational health/safety, safety, or related subject OR in Engineering with demonstrated manufacturing experience in Safety Engineering. Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISO45001/14001:2015 and other relevant regulations and standards. Experience integrating aspects of EH&S management into the overall operation of the plant. Information Utilization and ability to use electronic databases such as Gensuite. 5 years of demonstrated manufacturing experience in developing and deploying Safety Strategy and associated tactical plans to deliver targeted results.  Knowledge and experience in Safety Regulatory and Legal requirements and industry direction. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; both organization and presentation skills. Leadership skills to interact with all levels of the organization to develop and implement projects, programs, improvements, and actions. Supervisory skill to lead and develop EHS Engineer/Technician Leadership skills to develop Safety Standard SME’s leaders.

The range for this position is $82,910.00 - $114,002.00  assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
