This position serves as the Raytheon EH&S Staff Executive, reporting to the Raytheon Vice President of EH&S and interfacing with all functions and strategic business units across Raytheon as well as with RTX EH&S and the other RTX business units including Pratt Whitney (PW) and Collins Aerospace (CA). The Staff Executive serves as a facilitator to the extended EH&S leadership team and an informal communication conduit, when required and/or requested, between the Vice President of EH&S and other members of the Raytheon Operations Supply Chain Quality (OSCQ) organization, RTX EH&S, PW EH&S and CA EH&S leadership teams. 

As a member of the EH&S leadership team, you will work closely with the EH&S functional and regional leaders with the management of key strategic projects, day-to-day tactical and operational requirements and EH&S branding and execution. Your role requires the utmost discretion and safeguarding of sensitive personnel, business, and propriety information. The ideal candidate will be a creative, innovative troubleshooter possessing very strong organization, coordination, planning, analytical, teaming, cooperation and problem-solving skills.

What You Will Do:

Ensure alignment of the EH&S organization including Raytheon level project implementation, leadership team collaboration activities, tasking, and execution reviews

Ensure transparency and status of Raytheon EH&S initiatives at all levels of the EH&S organization through collaboration with initiative owners and functional leaders.

Develop and execute the EH&S Management Operating System and communication cadence

Act as EH&S CORE Focal and facilitate goal alignment process steps throughout the year

Solicit and gather information/data from multiple sources and synthesize into concise executive level briefings by collaborating with multiple stakeholders

Understand and prioritize requests and actions based on critical business needs

Act independently, and anticipate the needs of the Vice President, functional leaders, and geographically dispersed employees

Coordinate events, Face-to-Face LT meetings and site visits

Effectively work multiple projects simultaneously interacting with internal and external customers

Develop, maintain or improve company-wide support networks to facilitate and leverage the broad resources available within Raytheon to accomplish assigned projects and tasks

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant EH&S experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.

Experience in program or project management or as a technical lead

Experience preparing materials involving strategies, briefings, documentation and/or messaging conveyed across multiple stakeholders (e.g., customers, employees in multiple disciplines, and senior executives)

Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

U.S. Citizen - the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. 

Qualifications We Prefer:

Bachelor’s Degree in an EHS-related field, STEM field, Operations, or Business Management

Prefer 10+ years EHS experience with the capability to operate in an unstructured (minimal guidance) environment

Commitment to work seamlessly with the Raytheon EHS leadership team and at all levels of the organization

Building trusted partnerships to obtain key or underlying information needed to support tactical or strategic decisions

Experience applying high situational awareness, patience, diplomatic skills, and the ability to produce under stressful conditions, including demanding customers and schedules

Demonstrated experience of taking initiative and exercising reliable business judgment and accountability

Demonstrated ability to influence large cross-functional groups with a focus on fostering team-building and mentorship

Must be proactive, influential, conscientious and collaborative

Process and detail-oriented, timely and responsive, and have the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced business environment

Broad understanding of company structure and established network within Raytheon & RTX

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Locations: Any of the major Raytheon sites (e.g., McKinney, TX, El Segundo, CA, Andover, MA, Tucson, AZ). Other sites would be considered.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
