Job DescriptionGDIT has been supporting the IHS mission for 20+ years; working with the agency to provide integral services to raise health access and availability to 2.6 million American Indians and Alaska Natives. You'll be part of modernizing the EHR platform to enable better data access, patient experience, and quality of care for 567 tribes, 37 states and over 600 medical facilities. Our work depends on a Program Transition Manager joining our team to support the Indian Health Service (IHS) Electronic Health Records Modernization (EHRM) program. As a Program Transition Manager supporting the IHS EHRM program, you will be responsible for supporting the Sustainment team manage handoff from Deployment workstreams at the Enterprise and Cohort level.HOW THIS ROLE WILL MAKE AN IMPACTManages transition schedule, administration and support including customer briefing and or customer interactions, including hiring and supervising assigned professional and support staffAnalyzes current processes and workflows to help the organization run efficiently and effectivelyFoster continual service improvementOversees and provides guidance to the team ensuring work quality and completion of projects and taskDrives completion of transition schedule and tasksWorks with customers, other teams and vendors to ensure team successManage completion of projects, changes request and incident resolution ensuring availability of services for the customer and its usersProvide critical analysis of current solutions and solution recommendations to identify right sized solutions that provide security, redundancy and fault toleranceKeeps well-informed of new technologies and industry best practices and trendsWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEEDBA/BS or equivalent, 8+ years of experience supporting medium to large Healthcare IT projectsFive (5) years of Program Management, Transition Management or Sustainment experience with successful program transition executionExperience and overall understanding of Cerner Millennium products and service ticketing systemsExperience in process development , continuous improvement and big picture managementExperience and effective communication skills with customer, supplier, employee and previous incumbent stakeholdersExperience with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and VisioPreferred Certification: PMP and/or ITILPreferred Technical Skills: IT Project / Program/Transition level managementOverall understanding of Helpdesk managementMust be able to obtain a Public Trust level 5 clearanceAbility to travel up to 25%GDIT IS YOUR PLACE:401K with company matchComprehensive health and wellness packagesInternal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your careerProfessional growth opportunities including paid education and certificationsCutting-edge technology you can learn fromRest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays#GDITHealth#GDITHealthSystems
