A EHS Coordinator position is available in Temperance, MI at MI Windows and Doors. An Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator administrates policies, completes workplace inspections, and implements workplace safety programs. They help to create and enforce a culture of safety within our organization. They ensure the company maintains compliance with all federal, state, and internal health and safety standards. This includes conducting audits, hazard assessments, injury investigation, and training classes.

This position is an hourly position with a salary based on experience.  The pay will start at $25.00 an hour with the shift Monday through Friday starting at 7:00 am and ending at 4:00 pm.  This role will need to be able to have the flexibility to cover the third shift, as needed.

EHS Coordinator responsibilities include:

Perform weekly, monthly, and quarterly inspections for potential hazards such as ladder inspections, fire prevention, PPE, and guarding and follow through with the necessary departments for corrections.  Safety training for new hire orientations as a well as current team members to identify and prevent hazards, improves safety compliance, and creates a safety-conscious culture. Safety training will include toolbox talks and hazard training as well as annual safety refreshers.  Expected to assist with injury investigations and track data from first aid and near miss reports for all injuries on site.  Safety Committee  VPP Committee  Emergency Medical Response Team  Crisis Management Team  Traveling for training and safety conferences

Qualifications:

One year of similar work experience within a Warehouse/Manufacturing Environment High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to read and write in English Ability to perform basic math skills Excellent oral communication skills and interpersonal abilities Organization skills Able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted
