EHS Corporate Credential Specialist
Our GFL team is expanding, and we’re looking for an EHS Corporate Credential Specialist to join us out of our Vaughan location. The EHS Corporate Credential Specialist manages all activities related to third party qualifications, contracts, safety compliance grading and insurance certificates including but limited to development, implementation and deployment throughout the organization working closely with all business partners, EHS, RECM, HR, and Operations.

A “Day in the Life" of an EHS Corporate Credential Specialist

Maintain all our credentialing policy, training, procedures, and audit Requirements: for GFL pre-qualification mandatesManage internal and external new credentialing files, obtaining and evaluating primary source verification of provider credentials, maintaining currency of expired verification, and ensuring the completeness of a file to perform verification of credentialsCommunicate with entities, external verification sources and services, and internal teams to ensure credentialing is moving smoothlyMaintain all our compliance procedures and audit processes across the organization, working closely with information security to ensure continuity and transparency across functionsIdentify significant issues within the scope of the audit/review/project/investigation ensuring compliance with appropriate statutes, rules, and regulationsDevelop on-going Compliance training and awareness initiatives for our clinical workforceAnalyze and evaluates information related to the regulatory waste environment by monitoring appropriate provincial, state, federal and industry websites, publications, and journalsAnalyze and evaluate data, identify risks, and make appropriate conclusions based on audit test work, investigation, and project analysisConduct and report on routine privacy monitoring of access to ePHI through use of various internal and external toolsTriage and route all Privacy and Integrity requests to the proper department liaisons including updating the EHS CorpAssist in the development, monitoring and reporting of departmental Key Performance Indicators of the Compliance program, Privacy, Education, and other areas, utilizing prior experience and knowledgeAssist in the COR certificate programs, policies and implementation and maintenance Liaison with GFL sales team to ensure GFL EHS meets the customers’ expectations and compliances in accordance to the job being performedManage the ehscredentialist@gflenv.com in communication request and provide monthly reports by scope of businessProvide quarterly report cards on the status of all customers

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

3+ years of credentialing experience (i.e. waste management, transportation, auditing)Clear communicator with excellent attention to detail, organization, and prioritization skillsAbility to remain current, forward thinking and deeply invested in maintaining rapidly changing regulationsAbility to handle large volume pipelines with ease and professionalismHighly curious, adaptable and committed work-ethic
