To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an EHS Director, located remotely in the UK.
Reporting to the VP of Operations, the EHS Director will be part of an excellent Global SHEQ team with the responsibility for developing, implementing and overseeing the organisations EHS programmes and initiatives. This role ensures compliance with all relevant environmental, health and safety regulations and promotes a culture of safety and sustainability across all global operations.
What a typical day looks like:
EHS Program Development: Design and implement comprehensive EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international regulations.
Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure adherence to all relevant EHS regulations and standards, keeping abreast of any changes in laws and regulations.
Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential EHS hazards.
Training & Development: Develop and deliver EHS training programs to educate employees on best practices and regulatory requirements.
Incident Investigation: Lead investigations of EHS incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Sustainability Initiatives: Drive sustainability initiatives aimed at reducing the organization's environmental footprint and promoting eco-friendly practices.
Performance Monitoring: Utilize tools and metrics to monitor EHS performance, identify trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Leadership & Accountability: Foster a culture of safety and accountability, influencing and holding others accountable for EHS performance.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and human resources, to integrate EHS considerations into business processes.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is essential.
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum 15 years of experience in operational excellence.
Extensive experience working with a diverse range of products, including bespoke items with varying deadlines.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and influence for positive outcomes.
Demonstrated business acumen and ability to improve and turnaround key financial results.
Strong innovation skills and creativity to identify and implement cost-saving measures.
Knowledge ISO14001; Safety and Health legal requirements Environment legal requirements ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Emergency acknowledge
Demonstrates mastery of expertise in multiple areas and Data Center Power industry
Knowledgeable of Anord Mardix Electrical products, services and competitors. (Preferred)
