**THE ROLE:**
Xylem is seeking an initiative-taking and meticulous individual for our Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) intern opening for Summer of 2025. This internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in EHS practices and policies. The intern will support the EHS team in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment, participating in various projects, and contributing to the development and implementation of safety and environmental programs.
**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Support the EHS team in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment, participating in various projects, and contributing to the development and implementation of safety and environmental programs.
+ Assist in conducting safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
+ Assist with and support data gathering, collection, and analysis.
+ Support the development and updating of EHS policies, procedures, and training materials.
+ Help in tracking and analyzing EHS metrics and preparing reports for management.
+ Participate in incident investigations and assist in identifying root causes and corrective actions.
+ Assist in coordinating and conducting EHS training sessions for employees.
+ Support environmental sustainability initiatives, including waste management, recycling programs, and energy conservation efforts.
+ Assist in maintaining EHS records, permits, and documentation in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
+ Participate in cross-function teams to drive improvements across the organization.
+ Performs other duties as assigned by EHS Manager and/or EHS Coordinator
+ Hours: Monday-Friday schedule 40 hours per week.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Enrolled in an accredited college or university as a junior, senior, or graduate student in a relevant discipline.
+ Interest in working in an industrial manufacturing setting.
+ Basic understanding of federal and state equivalent programs for occupational health and safety
+ Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
+ Hands-on mentality, critical thinking skills, and eagerness to explore further.
+ Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
+ Ability to maintain good attend habits.
+ Excellent written communications and thorough detail in documentation completion
Xylem Summer Internships are an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on, professional experience and develop valuable skills that will benefit your future career. Our internship program is intended to create a pipeline of talented undergraduate students who are interested in a career in the water innovation technology industry. Interns are our primary talent pool for all full-time early career positions and rotational programs.
The estimated pay rate for this position ranges between $21.00 - $25.00/hour and is dependent on qualifications and experience. Locations of internships will vary based on the specified project and function, and will either be on-site, hybrid or fully remote.

$40,300.00 - $64,500.00
